The Child's View

  • Every child is an individual. They are curious, open and creative. Children spontaneously feel the need to explore the world and grow into their environment. They need respect, appreciation, caring, understanding and emotional support.
  • The educational task for us is to accept the child with their different feelings, strengths and weaknesses and to help them find their own identity and develop into a happy and self-confident person.
  • We want to respect the individual rate of development of each child and take account of different abilities and needs.
  • Like Maria Montessori’s motto "Help me to do it by myself", we want to nurture their independence and give them the possibility to participate in and shape the world around them.
  • The child is part of a community and should develop a community feeling. We cultivate social co-operation and the respectful, mindful treatment of one another. The teachers themselves are important examples for the children to follow and to learn values and limits from.
